New chapters always bring along a lot of novelty and excitement but it is the passion that makes the difference. You can go around the world several times from north to south, from east to west but at the end you always end up where your heart beats faster. So here is where she landed. The world of hospitality knocked her reality a little later but her sports background helped her to understand better that even if your mind tries to set limits, your heart is always ready to go the extramile. This is what the GRACE-family is aiming for, not only to be able to share it with our guests. Unique emotions will be remembered.

    HISTORY

    dancing with the future

The hotel "La Margna" was built at the beginning of the 20th century in the Art Nouveau style, characteristic of the Engadine and it is one of St. Moritz‘s landmarks, not only because of its privileged location and its fascinating panoramic view of Lake St Moritz. It was strategically built at its location because of the train station.

    founding architect

For three generations, master builders and architects Nicolaus Hartmann shaped and coloured the landscape and the building culture of the Grisons. The Hartmanns' works and designs are still well present today, especially in the Engadine, bearing testimony to an era of upheaval and cultural change. The then-blossoming tourism sector demanded a well-functioning infrastructure, which translated into such architectural oroducts as fine hotels. Hydropower stations and the structures of the Rhaetian Railway.

    every building tells a story

"Built to last. We define sustainability as environmentally sensitive architecture that can adapt to change. What matters most is how people will inhabit and interact with the buildings we create. This three-dimensional thinking translates into dynamic spaces that make an impact, but always serve a purpose."

    unique and magical

St. Moritz is more than just a spa town, more than just a winter sports destination, more than just a magnet for countless celebrities, artists and aristocrats. Some places are simply unlike any other; the mere mention of their name summons up vivid images and emotions. St. Moritz is one such place. Its unique appeal began long before the days when Roger Moore raced down the slopes as James Bond, Alfred Hitchcock was inspired by Engadin’s black crows and Gunter Sachs and Brigitte Bardot whispered sweet nothings to each other in the snow.

  • a valley

    of pristine nature

Without a doubt, those who travel to the Engadin will be smitten with its charms. The landscape in the midst of the glorious Grisons’s Alps is simply too lovely, too full of surprises, too multifaceted and just too beautiful to resist. With its majestic mountains, bright blue lakes and deep-rooted traditions, the Engadin never ceases to amaze us with boundless possibilities to discover in both its nature & culture. Whether through adventure or leisure activities – exploring our region is always a real treat!
